Three Alarm brush fire reported in the Salt River at West Indian Springs Road and South 133rd Avenue in Avondale, AZ.

[Update: Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10:26 PM MST] A “Go” notification has been issued for the #Avondale Fire due to a brushfire within the Salt River near El Mirage Rd. People included in the evacuation are those in the area south of Southern Avenue, North of Indian Spring Rd., West of 119 Ave., East of El Mirage. Remember to take water, snacks, prescriptions, identification, leashes and carriers for pets, pet food, and other necessary items for you and your family.
An evacuation center has not yet been established. We will update as soon as it is confirmed. Drive with care and follow the directions of emergency personnel.
At this time, no structures have been affected and approximately 30 people have been evacuated as a precaution. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and I will send updates when they become available, according to Sergeant Bryant Vanegas, Public Information Office with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
[Update: Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:56 PM MST] An evacuation center for the #AvondaleFire has been established by AZ Red Cross at the Avondale City Hall located at 11465 Civic Center Dr, Avondale, AZ 85323. The public can check maricopa.gov for the cross roads and current evacuation area. MCSO is asking that people use caution and drive with care, according to Sergeant Bryant Vanegas, Public Information Office with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
