Apartment fire reported in the 5400 block of East Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona.

[Update] Phoenix and Scottsdale fire crews on scene. Three story apt building. Smoke and fire damage in a vacant second story apartment. One family displaced. No extension of the fire but some smoke damage to surrounding apartments. No injuries, according to a Phoenix Fire Department statement posted on Twitter.
