Today is day two of the the Valley Metro bus strike. The two parties - First Transit and the Union (Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1433) - will meet again this morning with the federal mediator to continue negotiations, according to a Valley Metro news flash.
Routes affected by the strike are: Flash, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Buzz, Link Main Street, Link Arizona Ave, 30, 40, 45, 48, 56, 61, 62, 65, 66, 72, 77, 81, 96, 104, 108, 112, 120, 128, 136, 156, 184, 511, 514, 520, 521, 522, 531, 533, 535, 541 and 542.
Scottsdale bus routes affected by the strike are: Earth, 72, 81, 511 and 514.
Valley Metro operates public bus, dial-a-ride, carpool, and light rail services in the Phoenix metro area.
