1st Alarm House Fire at 39800 N Messner Way Anthem, AZ 85086

1st alarm working house fire reported in the 39800 block of North Messner Way in Anthem, AZ. The call was dispatched at 6:33 p.m. MST.

Units responding include: E50, E56, E141, E142, E145, E146, R146, RM50, L41, L50, L142, BC4, BC141, BC152, BC192, NDC, APS002, CR301, MCSO06, RH2, SWG003 and U50. Daisy Mountain Fire units responded and Engine 56 was dispatched from Tramonto.

[Update: 11:02 PM] Dave Wilson, Captain and PIO of the Daisy Mountain Fire Department tells Scottsdale Arizona News that upon arrival to the incident, E145 reported a working house fire with fire venting from the garage of the home. A First Alarm was requested for back up due to the proximity of the surrounding homes. The fire was quickly contained. The additional assignments were cancelled.

The 1,827 square foot Anthem home sustained extensive damage. The homeowners will be displaced for an extended period of time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There was no occupant injuries reported. One firefighter sustained a minor injury and had to be transported.

The homeowner purchased the house in March 2005 for $270,689.00 with $5,000 down, according to Maricopa County Recorder's Office records.

The 2013 full cash value of the property is $118,300, according to Maricopa County Assessor records.
