(Scottsdale Arizona News) -- National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a local dust storm warning for East Central Maricopa County until 9:15 PM MST.
Communities impacted: Chandler, Fountain Hill, Gilbert, Laveen, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Arizona State University, Sky Harbor Airport, East Mesa, Downtown Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, Glendale Sports Complex, South Phoenix, Glendale and Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport.
NWS says major highways impacted include: I-10, Arizona 347, Superstition Freeway, US 60, Red Mountain Loop 202, Santan Loop 202, Price Freeway 101, Pima Freeway 101 and Papago Freeway I-10.
Weather service says gusty 30 to 40 MPH south winds and dense blowin dust will move into the greater Phoenix area 4th of July night between 8PM and 9PM.
